Welcome To My Practice
The integration of body mind and spirit is a foundational premise of Chinese medicine, and our philosophy in the practice has always been to care for each person as a human being first, before any disease or symptom. You're never a number, you're always a name, and your experience at our Center is our top priority. What we want for our patients is the same thing we want for ourselves and our community at large - the least invasive treatment with the best outcome; one that leaves each person on the healthiest trajectory for the long term.
We consider what we do to be "Natural Functional Medicine," which means seeing your body, mind and spirit as an integrated whole while helping you improve your body functions through natural means so that your cells have what they need to heal and keep you well over the long term. In our practice, acupuncture, nutrition, herbal medicine, along with dietary and lifestyle strategies, are all legs of the stool that support the most complete healing and best long term results. We believe in assessing each person's needs for those components on an individual basis, utilizing one-on-one consultation, health history, signs and symptoms, lab reports, physical exams, and Chinese medicine diagnosis. We refer out to other physicians as appropriate, and ideally we will work with our patient's other healthcare providers for collaborative benefit.
Ours is not a passive medicine, but one that requires active patient participation. To experience a different result, we usually have to do something differently than we were doing before. I recognize that different individuals may have different levels of ability or willingness to engage in the steps that will affect their treatment results. The process of change and healing depends on many factors and is different for everyone. Naturally, as the level of participation increases, so can the pace of recovery. My goal is to help you get set up to succeed and support you through the process of change. I not only develop a plan I believe will provide the best prognosis for you, but work with you to integrate it at your pace, so that whether quickly or gradually, you create a new normal in terms of habits and strategies that encourage your health. The lifestyle strategies part of this means we work together to help you creating the space and patterns in your life that support your healing and well-being. That includes your day-to-day, eating healthfully while traveling, navigating around difficult situations, etcetera. You matter, and together we find ways that allow your your well-being to get onto the list of everything else you are taking care of. So much can change when you say yes to yourself and your health. Keeping it fun is part of my own inspiration in this work and I'll share what I've learned along the way.
Through the highly personalized care offered by our ongoing one-on-one patient practitioner relationship, we work on your immediate concerns and support your long-term goals for your health. I am honored to be your natural healthcare provider, supporting you throughout your life on your path towards greater resilience, long term health, vitality and well-being. Thank you for the opportunity to be of service.
